EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
AMERICAN TECHNOLOGY CAMPUS (ATC) — the two-tier (double-location) educational initiative now unfolding in Western New York (USA) and minerals-rich Nimba County (Republic of Liberia) — is a God-honoring, results-oriented, safe, secure and self-sustaining “Planned University City” (Faith-Based Citadel of Learning) designed to accommodate BASILEIA INDUSTRIAL UNIVERSITY (of undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, professional and applied studies): Liberia’s first and premier Faith-Based Tuition-Free Work-Intensive Polytechnic University which uniquely requires (of every male/female student enrolled) Supervised Student Labor (related to each Academic Major) as opposed to Traditional Student Tuition Plan (BASILEIA Poverty Eradication Strategy Statement). Focused on “LIFTING LIBERIA TO NOBLER DESTINY” (BASILEIA INDUSTRIAL UNIVERSITY Vision Statement), the multi-billion-dollar educational project is necessitated by the fact that over US$20 Billion (Twenty Billion Dollars) of foreign aid to post-conflict Liberia, in the last 17 years, produced minuscule results; with Liberia still in shambles and listed by as “#1 of the top twenty-five poorest countries in the world in 2020” (USA Today). Therefore, our BASILEIA NAMING OPPORTUNITIES strategy enables like-minded wealthy Americans of faith, conviction and conscience to invest an appreciable portion of their God-given resources (time, talent, treasure, technology, testimony, tenacity, tradition, etc.) in Liberia’s final recovery; while, at the same time, being celebrated by having a component project (college, school, facility, program, scholarship, fellowship, endowment, professorship, etc.) named in their respective honor or that of their own chosen honorees. The entire project at both locations, Western New York (USA) and Nimba County (Liberia), is modeled after America’s highly productive tuition-free Work Colleges distinguished by their “purposeful integration of Work-Learning-Service while helping to reduce the cost of education” (Work Colleges Consortium, USA). At the heart of our vision is the desire to rediscover, restore and realign our mutually cherished American-Liberian Heritage — the proverbial umbilical cord forged through rare convergence of historical events in human affairs — rooted in historical facts about the Republic of Liberia (America’s creation, prototype and staunch ally on the African continent for nearly 200 years): “In an early treaty with Liberia, there is a provision under which the United States may be called upon for advice and/or assistance to the Republic of Liberia, in accordance with our historical interest and moral guardianship … to assure permanence to a country of much sentimental and real interest to a large body of our citizens.” — (William Howard Taft(1857-1930); 27th President of the United States of America (1909-1913).
